Oral History and Archival Processing Intern
Jesus Villalobos is a graduate student in the Library and Information Science program at the University of Arizona, specializing in archival studies and instruction for librarians. With a passion for preserving and sharing cultural heritage, Jesus joined the Mexican-American Heritage and History Museum as the Oral History and Archival Processing Intern. Their work involves creating a digital collection of curated oral histories, developing archival processing plans, processing archival materials, and designing inclusive, bilingual documentation.
They are also a Knowledge River Scholar and have extensive experience with library systems, digital archives, and community-focused programming. Fluent in Spanish, they combine their technical skills with a deep commitment to amplifying diverse voices in archival work.
